Woof Coffee is a new shop in the high street of Teddington. From the name you would be forgiven for thinking that it was a dog grooming salon or kennels. Rather, what Woof Coffee is is probably the best coffee in the outer London area. The espresso is an Ethiopian Yirgacheffe which is a region that has been showing great promise recently after a tough few years.

The coffee has aromas of hazelnut and vanilla with a slight earthy bark tone. The taste is superb, with more of the earthy grip coming through to a wonderfully rounded flavour. It is not as savoury as some of the other Yirgacheffes’ I’ve had recently, but fantastic nonetheless.

As for the flat white, it was very well made. Good temperature milk perfectly frothed. Personally I prefer the more earthy coffee’s for flat whites, but that doesn’t detract from this superb coffee. If you’re in the area, stop into Woof Coffee.
