It is reported that Philip Oppenheim, a former British Treasury Minister, signed a deal last month to invest $4 million in Cuban coffee growing, selling under the name Alma de Cuba.
There really are very few places capable of growing coffee left in the world that haven’t already been cultivated. Cuba is an exception due to its lack of foreign investment. Let’s hope that Cuba is capable of producing some top quality coffee…just like their cigars.
